WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Dress is anywhere from casual to formal. You’ll find a mix of everything from suit-and-tie to t-shirts and jeans.
  • When you arrive, someone will greet you and hand you a bulletin with basic information about that day’s service and coming events.
  • In that same area, there are snacks and coffee available that you’re welcome to take with you into the main sanctuary.
  • Once inside the main room, you’re welcome to take a seat and wait for the service to begin.
  • The service begins at 10am with a scriptural call to worship, followed by a prayer of invocation and a corporate praying of the Lord’s Prayer (a copy of which is found in the bulletin). We then proceed to sing and read additional passages of Scripture. The whole service generally lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.
  • Following the service, most people stay and chat for a little while, and some go out to lunch together. We’ll say hello to you another time and tell you we’d be glad to see you again next Sunday. There will never be any pressure for you to give money. We’re just glad to have you with us.

children

We love to have children in worship with us! We believe that when Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me,” he really meant it. We do have a cry room with the service piped in if you need to step out with your child—but we don’t mind a little noise. Additionally, we have coloring pages, crayons, and seats located in the back of the sanctuary for your convenience. We think there is tremendous value in children growing up in “big church” and seeing people from all different backgrounds worshiping our Lord with one voice.
