Recognizing that we were purchased for God by the blood of Christ (1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Peter 1:18-19) and having been brought to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and desiring to live lives worthy of the gospel (Philippians 1:27) and our calling (2 Thessalonians 1:11), we again commit ourselves to pursuing and engaging in all that the Bible exhorts and promotes and to refrain from pursuing or engaging in all that the Bible condemns and warns.

We will strive, as individuals and as a corporate body, to align our thoughts, actions and words with that of Christ so that He is exalted and not ourselves. Therefore:

We vow to saturate our minds with the Bible both in private devotions and studies and through the preaching, teaching, studying and reading of the Bible in our public gatherings.

We vow to exhort and hold one another accountable through regular weekly times of corporate worship and small group meetings.

We vow to engage in private and public venues of prayer.

We dedicate ourselves to verbally proclaiming the truths and facts comprising the gospel (Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 2:9).

We further commit ourselves to the corporate witnessing of this body. We will live this out by adopting lifestyles that encourage and enable us to love one another (John 13:34-35); outdo one another in showing honor (Romans 12:10); welcome one another as Christ has welcomed us (Romans 15:7); instruct one another (Romans 15:14); serve one another (Galatians 5:13); bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2); encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11); confess our sins to one another (James 5:16); and pray for one another (James 5:16).

We choose to love God more than money (Matthew 6:24). We want our lives to demonstrate that we have not set our hopes on the uncertainty of riches but on God (1 Timothy 6:17). We will give of our financial resources abundantly and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7) resting on the assurance that our God will supply every need of ours according to His riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19) and rejoicing that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

We will remember, obey, submit and pray for our church We will remember, obey, submit and pray for our church leaders (Hebrews 13:7, 17) and will not entertain an accusation against any leader except on the evidence of two or three witnesses (1 Timothy 5:19), unless verifiable evidence of guilt demonstrates a leader’s culpability.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.
